US Senate cans Spam
The US Senate Wednesday passed the CAN Spam Act of 2003 with email tagging, and measures designed to stop anonymous and false return addresses. The Senate also called upon the FTC to set up a "Do Not Spam" list, although some experts wonder about its effectiveness.

Spam 'turning people off e-mail'
25% of people said they use e-mail less because of junk messages, according to Pew Internet. As of May 2003, over 55% of e-mail is now spam. In a related story, California has fined a PR firm $2 million dollars for spamming.
